Arriving at Teutschental-Germany which is the 9th GP out of 15 of the 2011 MX world championship cycle, last weekend's event was a no-show for Joel Roelants who is still recovering from a suspected concussion which had forced him to drop out of the Swedish GP of one week ago.
Getting in a good start proved crucial to get any chance of scoring points at the fast and slipperyTeutschental hardtrack. With a 12th place qualifier on saturday, hopes were high for Jodi Tixier to put in a good result on Sunday but as it turned out multiple crashes forced Jordi to play cath-up in both races. At sunday's first race Jordi started well but an early mistake made him drop back to 19th. He then fougth back to 16th on the finishline, overtaking Anstie, Lupino and teammate Pascal.
No luck for Jordi in the second race as he rounded the first lap in 25th position before he crashed out. Coming from dead, last he worked his way up trough the field to finish in 18th. Teammate Pascal Rauchenecker struggled to get a good rythm during the first race as he made a good start but then steadily he started to loose ground, fallig back from 12th to 19th place at the finish.
During the start of the second race Pascal found himself behind Jordi in 26nd position but then quickly found the pace he was looking for, making up a whopping 11 positions to finish 15th at race end. In MX1 Yentel Martens had a tough weekend, his 32th and 30th position score added up for 31th overall in Teutschental.

Comment of teammanager Jacky Martens;" It's a pitty to see Joel having to skip Teutschental. We will decide after bike training coming wednesday if he will enter the upcoming GP in Latvia. At this time I do not forsee any trouble because Joel has indicated he is back in good shape now.
As for Jordi and Pascal I can say that, although the result on paper is not quite there, riding-wise they both have put in a good performance.
Pacal was feeling the pressure to do good for his sponsors and fans who all had travelled to Teutschental to see him race. This made him extra nervous during the first race. The second race however he was more at ease and we saw him on the pace much faster than the first race.
As for Yentel, he has crashed a lot lately especially on hard track. This has eaten away at Yentel's self confidence, and to go fast on a dangerous hard track like Teutschental you need big self-confidence. With Yentel we will go back to basic and skip the upcoming Latvian grand prix, concentrate on restoring his self confidence and prepare for our home grand prix in Lommel within a fourthnight."

Het afgelopend weekeinde tijdens GP nummer 9 in Teutschenal- Duitsland was onze grote afwezige Joel Roelants. Joel is nog steeds herstellende van een hersenschudding waardoor hij ook al was uitgevallen tijdens de GP van Zweden van afgelopen week. Om in Teutschental kans te maken op enige WK punten bleek het maken van een goede start cruciaal belang te zijn.
Met het scoren van een 12e plaats tijdens de zaterdag qualificatie had Jordi Tixier goede hoop op een goed resultaat, maar meerdere crashes zorgden ervoor dat Jordi beide reeksen een inhaalrace moest rijden Tijdens de start van de eerste reeks op zondag was Jordi goed weg maar een vroege fout zorgde ervoor dat hij terugviel naar de 19e plaats. Hij wist daarna nog Anstie, Lupino en teammaat Pascal voorbij te steken om als 16e te finishen.
Geen geluk voor Jordi tijdens de herneming als hij in de beginfase in 25e positie onderuit gaat en zodoende als allerlaatste aan de wedstrijd moet beginnen. Hij weet zich weer vast te bijten en terug te vechten tot de 18e plaats op de finish. Teamgenoot Pascal Rauchenecker kreeg tijdens de eerste race het juiste ritme maar niet te pakken. Hij had een goede start maar verloor gedurende de race constant terrein waardoor hij uiteindelijk terugviel van een 12e naar een 19e plaats.
Tijdens de start van de tweede reeks bevond Pascal zich op de 26e plek achter Jordi, maar deze keer had hij wel meteen het goede rtime te pakken en maakte hij maar liefst 11 plaatsen goed om als 15e te finishen. In MX1 had Yentel Martens een lastig weekeinde, zijn 32e en 30e plaatsen waren goed voor 31e overall.

Commentaar van teammanager Jacky Martens;" Het is jammer om Joel niet te zien deelnemen aan Teutschental. Na de motortraining van komende woensdag nemen we de beslissing of Joel zal meedoen aan de GP van Lithouwen het komend weekeinde. Op dit moment voorzie ik echter geen problemen omdat Joel heeft aangegeven zich terug goed te voelen.
Wat betreft Jordi en Pascal kan ik zeggen dat, alhoewel op papier het resultaat niet echt goed is, ze voortreffelijk hebben gereden. Pascal stond onder grote druk om het goed te doen voor zijn sponsors en vele fans die naar Teutschental waren afgereisd om hem in aktie te zien. Dit maakte hem vooral tijdens de eerste reeks erg nerveus. Tijdens herneming was hij meer op zijn gemak en we zagen dan ook dat hij meer snelheid had dan tijdens de eerste reeks.
Wat Yentel betreft, hij is de laatste tijd vooral op harde banen veel gevallen. Dit heeft het nodige van zijn zelfvertrouwen gekost, en om snel te zijn op een gevaarlijke harde omloop zoals Teutschental heb je veel zelfvertouwen nodig. Met Yentel gaan we terug naar de basis en laten we de komende GP in Lithouwen schieten. We gaan werken aan zijn zelfvertrouwen en concentreren ons volledig op de thuis Grand Prix van Lommel over 14 dagen".
