With Lommel still fresh in mind, the Nestaan-JMRacing KTM riders had to switch their blueprint from deep-sand to hardpack, for which they used a mid-week training in Genk in preparation of this weekend's GP at Loket in the Czech Republic.
Loket is a high-speed hard pack track,covered with fine gravel and long sweeping up-and downhill corners. Before sundays race it had been raining which made the track greasy on different spots, causing multiple crashes.
Joel Roelant's Dunlop rear tyre provided excellent traction on the slippery Czech soil as he cornered 3rd during the start of sunday's first race.
After making a small mistake Joel then fought with Jake Nicholls for fourth position for several laps but did not manage to pass the fast Brit. At about mid-race Joel was handed one position by Paulin crashing out while later on the CLS duo Anstie-Searle got the better of him which resulted in a 7th positon race finish.
Jordi "911" Tixier had settled in 12th positon during the beginning of the first race and made sure he kept out of trouble, finishing in a decent10th. position.
Teammate Pascal Rauchenecker was 6 places behind Jordi (18th) during the start of the first race but managed to trail behind Harri Kullas to14th on the finish line.

A different scenario for Joel during the start of the second race as an early crash made him drop back to mid pack. However within 5 laps Joel was back in 10th position and steadily re-worked his way up to eighth. At about 2/3rds in to the race Joel had to let go of Vanhorebeek but managed to defend 9th position for the remainder of the race.
Following in Joel's trail was teammate Jordi Txier who worked his way back from 19th to 13th at about mid race where he stayed until race-end.
Pascal Rauchenecker had dropped back to 30th after he had crashed during the second lap. The young Austrian worked his way back to 25th but then crashed again and pulled out of the race.

Teammanager Jacky Martens comment's;" I am happy with the performance of my riders here in Loket. Joel has made a strong re-entry after coming back from injury and motivation wise he is as strong as ever.
Also Jordi and Pascal have shown some brilliant riding in Loket. As the " eager Austrian" he is, Pascal probably crashed one time too many but during the season he has made significant progress of which I am very happy."


NEDERLANDSTALIGE VERSIE
Met Lommel nog vers in het geheugen hebben de JMRacing piloten afgelopen week in Genk getraind in de omschakeling van diep zand naar harde ondergrond.
Dit alles in voorbereiding van de GP van Tsjechie in Loket van afgelopen weekeinde. Het zeer snelle parcours in Loket is voorzien van een harde gravel laag en is heeft lange op- en aflopende bochten. Voor aanvang van de race op zondag had het geregend waardoor het parours op diverse plaatsen vettig was, wat diverse valpartijen tot gevolg had.
Joel Roelant' s Dunlop achterband leverde perfecte grip waardoor Joel tijdens de start van de eerste reeks als derde de bocht in ging. Na een foutje gemaakt te hebben vocht hij verschillende ronden met Jake Nicholls om de 4e positie echter het lukte Joel niet om de snelle Brit te passeren. Aangekomen op de helft van de wedstrijd kon hij doordat Paulin crashte nog een positie opschuiven maar moest even later het CLS duo Searle-Anstie voor laten gaan. Dit alles resulteerde in een 7e plaats op de finishlijn. Jordi "911" Tixier had zich op de 12e plaats genesteld en kwam verder niet meer in de problemen waardoor hij als 10e finishte.
Teamgenoot Pascal Rauchenecker lag tijdens het begin van de wedstrijd 6 plaatsen achter Jordi (18e) maar wist de opmars van Harri Kullas te volgen en zodoende als 14e te finishen.

Het begin van de tweede reeks verliep minder goed voor Joel toen hij door een val terugverwezen werdt tot de 18 plaats. Binnen 5 ronden echter was Joel terug op de 10e plek waarna hij verder opklom naar de 8e positie. Op 2/3 van de race moest Joel KTM collega Vanhorebeek laten passeren maar wist hij de 9e plek tot op de finishlijn vast te houden. Kort in Joel's spoor volgde Jordi Tixier die zich van de 19e plaats wist terug te vechten naar de 13e plaats, de positie die hij het tweede gedeelte van de reeks wist vast te houden. Pascal Rauchenecker was na een crash in de tweede ronde teruggevallen naar de 30e plaats. Na opnieuw 5 plaatsen teruggewonnen te hebben kwam Pascal opnieuw ten val waardoor hij de wedstrijd moest verlaten.

Commentaar van teammanager Jacky Martens; " Ik ben tevreden met het presteren van mijn rijders dit afgelopen weekeinde. Joel heeft een sterke herstart gemaakt na zijn blessure en motivatie-gewijs is hij minstens zo sterk als voorheen.
Ook Jordi en Pascal hebben beiden prima gereden in Loket. In zijn gretigheid is Pascal waarschijnlijk net een keer te veel gevallen maar hij heeft gedurende het seizoen enorme vooruitgang geboekt, iets waarmee ik erg tevreden ben."
