MX-3 GP of Spain and Belgian open MX-2

A busy weekend for both our team RedBull-KTM and the Juniorteam. Yves and Sven violated Spanish airspace as they blasted their KTM´s over the noumerous high jumps and big talble-tops in Talavera de la Reina some 120 km´s south of Madrid, stage 2 in the MX-3 GP series this season. Under a clear spanish sun (25°C), more than 15.000 MX-"aficionados" witnessed KTM-JMRacing dominating the event with a 1 & 3 final podium for Yves and Sven.

Jacky Martens comments;" In the first race Yves took the holeshot with Sven right behind him.Sven and Yves put on their private show as they batteled for the win. It came down to the very last lap when leader Sven was suddenly forced to take an outside-line due to a sudden action of a lapped rider. This was all Yves needed to take the lead and win the first race."

"Yves again holeshotted the second race while Sven missed his start and had to fight back from 8th position.Yves got into trouble as he lost his front wheel and crashed in a high-speed corner. When he had restarted his bike, Oddenino and Staufer had passed him. While Yves managed to catch up with Staufer for second overall, Oddenino kept a 4 second gap to cross the finish line first. With Staufer crashing,Sven secured his 3rd position."

"Closer to home meanwhile, our JMJuniorteam accompanied by our MX-2 Redbull-KTM rider Joel Roelants came into action at the "Kiezelgroeve" in Neeroeteren(B). Joel inialated the competition in the first race with a clear win, then disaster struck in the second. His brake locked completely due to a stone caught in it.
At the time he was in second position, riding strong and catching up with leader Verbruggen, even so Joel had to stop the race.
