With only 5 GP's left on the calendar, last weekend Nestaan-JMRacing entered the GP of Limburg in the team's hometown of Lommel.(B)
The deep sand of Lommel is one-of-a-kind, dreaded by many and loved by others. Lommel is where the art of sand riding is beeing mastered. With Joel Roelants having done virtually no bike training and missing out on the German and Latvian GP due to injury, the pressure was on Joel to make a strong return in his home GP. While Joel held back a bit during qualifying on saturday (12th), he made a lightning start during the first race on Sunday, placing himself in 7th position during the inital stages of the race. After dropping back two positions he kicked in to high gear coming back to 8th and then reeled in Searle and Paulin to take 6th position.
Then, with only 3 laps to go disaster struck as due to a blown gasket his bike's engine lost all of it's oil, forcing Joel to retire.

Meanwhile Nestaan-JMRacing rookie Jordi Tixier launched an impressive come-back race, catapulting back from 22th to 13th on the finishline. With Lommel beeing one of his least favourite tracks (to say the least), the young Frenchman made a striking performance.
Teammate Pascal Rauchenecker hovered around 16th position for the majority of the race when at the end he came out on top of a dogfight with Teillet, securing 15th place.

In race two again a good start for Joel Roelants, who was determined to make up for for the damage of his first-race DNF. While in 5th position during the initial stages of the race, Joel let go of Paulin and Searle but from then on he controlled 7th position to race end, in spite of vigourous efforts of Kullas and Nicholls to cath up with Joel. Joel's DNF and 7th place together added up for 14th overall for the weekend.
For Jordi it was a re-run of the first race scenario. This time he started out in 23th position and reeled in one rider per lap for the first 8 laps to come. After hovering in 15th for a few laps he again pushed on to finish in13th (again). Again a great effort from Jordi who sure could do with better starts. For Pascal the second race is always tricky, as the fanatic young Austrian already showed signs of overtraining during previous GP's. This scenario again appeared to unfold in Lommel as he quickly dropped back from 11th to 19th as the second race developed. This time however Pascal found his second win and managed to claw back 4 positions at race-end, finishing in 15th. Pascal finished in 16th overall for the event.

Succes at last for Kenny Vandueren in the EU MX2 series. The Nestaan-JMRacing KTM rider was strong all weekend, already qualifying in 3rd in the B group on saturday.
With a 6th position finish in the bag from the first race, Kenny finished 2nd in the second race behind Donny Bastemeyer who was lucky the race did not last half a lap longer. 6th and 2nd combined gave Kenny a 3rd position podium for the event. The sympathic Nestaan-JMRacing rider was overjoyed to finally make it on to the podium and leave all his previous setbacks behind.

In MX1 the weekend did got quite go to plan for Yentel Martens. Yentel never found a decent rythm as he fought the track but mainly himself as he was under pressure to do well at his home grand-prix. Yentel got stuck at 33nd place overall, a result Yentel would have seen otherwise at his home grand prix.

NEDERLANDSTALIGE VERSIE
Met nog maar 5 GP's op de kalender was het afgelopen weekeinde afspraak voor de GP van Limburg in het belgische Lommel. Het lommelse zand is uniek, gevreesd door velen en weer geliefd bij anderen. Lommel is dé plaats waar de kunst van het zand rijden wordt geleerd. Omdat Joel Roelants door een blessure de GP van Duitsland en Letland was misgelopen en daarbij weinig had kunnen trainen, lag er druk op hem om een goede come-back te maken tijdens zijn thuis-GP. Nadat Joel tijdens de kwalificatie op zaterdag nog niet voluit gegaan was(12e) maakte hij tijdens de eerste reeks op zondag een bliksemstart. Joel viel in eerste instantie terug naar de 9e plek maar wist na een tempoverhoging een plaats terug te pakken om
vervolgens weer door te stoten naar de 6e plaats met als slachtoffers Paulin en Searle. Met nog 3 ronden te gaan echter sloeg het noodlot toe toen een pakking het begaf en de motor zonder olie kwam te staan.
Hierdoor moest Joel noodgedwongen de wedstrijd verlaten.
Ondertussen zette Nestaan-JMRacing rookie Jordi Tixier een indrukwekkende remonte neer door vanaf een 22e plaats terug te komen naar een 13e finishplek. Omdat Lommel niet bepaald een van zijn favoriete omlopen is zette hij hiermee een opmerkelijke prestatie neer. Teammaat Pascal Rauchenecker bevond zich zowat de gehele race in 16e plaats voor maar wist op het einde nog een duel met Teillet in zijn voordeel te beslissen waardoor hij als 15e werdt afgevlagd.

Tijdens de tweede race had Joel opnieuw een goede start, vastbesloten als hij was om de schade van zijn eerdere DNF te beperken. In 5e positie moest hij evenwel Searle en Paulin voorbij laten gaan maar de 7e plaats wist hij tot op de finish vast te houden ondanks verwoede pogingen van Kullas en Nicholls om Joel bij te halen. Joel's DNF en 7e plaats bleken goed voor 14e overall voor de GP.
Voor Jordi was de 2e race een herhaling van het scenario van de eerste race. Ditmaal kwam hij terug vanuit een 23e positie waarbij hij 8 ronden lang iedere ronde een rijder inhaalde. Na enige tijd in 15 positie te hebben gelegen stootte hij daarna door naar uiteindelijk de 13e plaats (alweer). Opnieuw een mooie prestatie van Jordi, die duidelijk baat zou hebben bij betere starts.
Voor Pascal is de tweede race lastig omdat de fanatieke jonge oostenrijker tijdens eerdere wedstrijden al tekenenen van overtraining liet zien. Het leek er op dat dit opnieuw het geval was toen hij gaandeweg de race snel terugviel van de 11e naar de 19e plaats. Ditmaal echter wist Pascal aan het einde van de reeks nog 4 zwaarbevochten plaatsen terug te pakken.
Pascal finishte als 16e overall tijdens afgelopen weekeinde.

Eindelijk succes voor Kenny Vandueren in het Europese MX2 kampioenschap. De Nestaan-JMRacing piloot was het hele weekend sterk, te beginnen met een 3e plaats in de B-groep qualificatie op zaterdag. Na in de eerste reeks op zondag als 6e te finishen, wist Kenny in de tweede reeks beslag te leggen op de 2e plaats juist achter Donny Bastemeyer die blij was dat deze reeks geen halve ronde langer had geduurd.
Kenny's 6e en 2e plaatsen bleken goed voor de 3e podiumplek. De sympathieke Nestaan-JMRacing piloot was overgelukkig om eindelijk weer op het podium te staan en zodoende alle voorgaande tegenslag achter zich te laten.

In MX1 verliep het weekeinde voor Yentel Martens niet bepaald volgens plan. Yentel had geen enkele keer het juiste ritme te pakken terwijl hij de strijd aanging met de omloop maar vooral ook met de druk om in Lommel goed te presteren. Yentel bleef hangen op een 33 plaats overall, een resultaat dat hij graag anders had gezien op zijn thuis grand-prix.
