GP Brasil - Jordi Tixier 125 Junior World Champion - Yentel Martens wins MX National at Eernegem

With Nestaan-JMRacing riders Axel Alletru injured and Dennis Verbruggen outside the Championship top 10, it was Joel Roelants who made the trip to Campo Grande Brazil in his quest for additional championship points.
Over the weekend Joel displayed a steady performance as he finished 6th during qualifying on saturday while finishing 7th during both races on Sunday.
In race one Joel held 6th spot through almost the entire race but was passed by Van Hoorebeek two laps before race end. Again a good start for Joel in race two, this time in 5th position, unfortunaly allowing Tonus and Frossard to pass at almost race-end for 7th on the finishline. Joel managed to score a decent 6th place overall for the event.
Meanwhile, closer to home, at Gueugnon-France, Nestaan-JMracing's 125 European Champion Jordi Tixier crowned himself 2010 Junior 125 World Champion.
During this one-weekend World Championship event, Jordi had to eliminate some heavy competition by the likes of Joe Savatgy (USA) and Pascal Rauchenecker (Austria) but he managed to win both motos in great style, adding yet another prestiguous motocross title to his young palmares.
"Almost at home", in Eernegem-Belgium, Yentel Martens won both races of the 8th round of the Belgian National inters open, a heavlily fought round in which variuous GP riders participated who did not make the trip to Brazil.

Doordat Nestaan-JMRacing piloot Axel Alletru geblesseerd is en Dennis Verbruggen op dit moment buiten de WK top 10 valt, was het Joel Roelants die afgelopen week als enige is afgereisd naar de GP van Brazillië in zijn zoektocht naar meer WK punten.
Gedurende het weekeinde zette Joel een constante prestatie neer door op de qualificatie van zaterdag een 6e plek te scoren om daarna tijdens beide races op zondag als 7e te finishen. Tijdens de eerste reeks nam Joel vanaf de start tot twee rondes voor het einde de 6e plaats in beslag om deze plek uiteindelijk alsnog in te leveren bij Van Hoorebeek.
Na opnieuw een goede start tijdens de tweede reeks wist Joel voor het merendeel van de wedstrijd de 5e plaats wist vast te houden. Uiteindelijk moest hij op het einde Tonus en Simpson nog laten voorgaan om opnieuw als 7e afgevlagd te worden.
Uiteindelijk wist Joel een mooie 6e plaats overall te scoren in Brazillië.
Dichter bij huis, in Guegnon-Frankrijk, heeft Europees 125 kampioen Jordi Tixier afgelopen weekeinde het 2010 Junior Wereldkampioenschap 125 gewonnen.
Tijdens dit one-weekend WK kreeg de Nestaan-JMRacing piloot af te rekenenen met zware tegenstand van vooral Joe Savatgy (USA) en Pascal Rauchenecker (Oostenrijk) ,echter hij wist beide reeksen in stijl te winnen waardoor Jordi opnieuw een prestigieuze titel toevoegt aan zijn nog jonge palmares.
In het Belgische Eernegem, deed Yentel Martens het afgelopen weekeinde een goede zaak door de 8e ronde van de Belgische Inters Open in zijn voordeel te beslissen.
Yentel won beide reeksen van deze zwaarbevochte wedstrijd waar verschillende GP rijders aan deelnamen die de oversteek naar Brazillië aan zich voorbij hadden laten gaan.
